Las Cafeteras - Dia de los Muertos
These immigrant children are remixing roots music and telling modern-day stories with what the LA Times has called a “uniquely Angeleno mishmash of punk, hip-hop, beat music, cumbia and rock.” The band is taking the music world by storm with its international instrumentation, crossing genres and musical borders with infectious live performances. In this “Dia de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) evening, audiences can expect a musical and cultural experience that engages the heart, mind and spirit. Las Cafeteras will remember and celebrate the living by honoring those who have passed through dance, movement, and songs.
