La Guitarra California Festival at the PAC

The celebrated three-day biennial Festival is dedicated to the glory of classical guitar, with 17 international artists performing in eight exciting concerts and five master classes.

The famous, multigenerational ROMERO GUITAR QUARTET launches the festivities with an opening night concert that is dedicated to the family’s legendary patriarch, Spanish maestro Celedonio Romero, who will posthumously receive the inaugural La Guitarra Lifetime Achievement Award. There will be a multimedia celebration of his life, hosted by Nuvi Mehta, and the evening will also include performances by Tony Harmon and Nathan Towne.

The remaining two days of concerts showcase the mastery of Roland Dyens, Ana Vidovic, Vladimir Gorbach, Massimo Delle Cese, Duo Melis,the Agnew- McAllister Duo and Chris Jácome & The Jácome Flamenco Trio. There’s also a free afternoon outdoor concert with the Cal State Fullerton Guitar Orchestra.

La Guitarra California also features an exclusive guitar auction, original guitar-related artwork on display and for sale, and 40 guitar makers exhibiting their handmade instruments at the popular Vendor Fair.
