Paul's Picks!  Another action packed weekend on the Central Coast...

What a treat it is to live on the Central Coast and have world class entertainment surrounding us at all times!   This weekend is no exception.  One of our big headlines this week is the news of SLO Brew.  If you didn't catch it, partners Hamish Marshall and Todd Newman have decided to part ways, and the venue as we know it will be gone next summer as it moves to it's new location on Higuera Street.  I'm sure it will still be awesome, but different.  My point - get on out there & enjoy some shows at SLO Brew while we still can. This Friday we have Stick Figure, a super fun reggae band.

A couple more options for Friday night include a fantastic program at the PAC - Cirque Zuma Zuma, described as kind of an African style Cirque du Soleil...  Then late night at Creekside Brewing you can check out a free show with Green to White.  If you haven't checked them, I'm recommending you do. They're a very talented, fun, original trio.

Castoro Cellars is the place to be to kick off the Wine Fest Weekend.  Friday night they have Damon Castillo concert.  You may like it so much up there at Castoro you may want to come back on Saturday or Sunday for some Soul Sauce and some more "Dam Fine Wine."

Also on Saturday is the big kickoff for the Morro Bay Surfboard Art Festival, happening at the Forever Stoked Headquarters in Morro Bay.  Those guys always put together a fantastic party, and you'll get a sneak peek at some of the 20+ artists' creations before they get installed around town.

And lastly, speaking of art, this is the second and final weekend of Arts Obispo's Open Studios Tour, where you can travel around the county checking out some of over 200 open studios!  This is a rare opportunity to see the work of artists that may not regularly show their work publicly.

If you haven't checked out BIG BIG SLO on our website or "liked" us on Facebook, please do! We're giving away concert tickets all the time & keeping you in the know about all the hot, fresh happenings in SLO County.   Have fun out there!

Cheers!

Paul
